Beautiful night in Seattle tonight so I thought I'd hit my local pond. A recent thread in the forum talked about using The Pilsbury Dough Boy Pop and Fresh muffin dough. Me and the dough boy hit the bog in the float tube. No sign of any carp tonight. I fished the pop fresh under a bobber near the bottom. Also used corn. Might try the dough at Green lake in the morning. Should be a beautiful sunrise to be fishing.

Hey Chris, I was just by the bog yesterday. Man it brought back some great childhood memories. I miss my old stomping grounds so it’s fun to drive through the area which I do very few times a year. You know, in all the times I've fished the bog, I don't believe I have ever caught a fish there. Odd that I just thought of that! Do they plant it these days? Anyway, always fun to read your reports from the area I grew up in. Thanks.

No, they don't plant it. I usually don't like to put 1 star reports in from a place like this, because it suggests that there are no fish in there. However I have a fellow walakes friend who has caught at least three good size carp using corn. When the water was warmer last summer I saw fish swirling around in the shallows. (Nice salmon you caught this past week!)

nice chris. I used to fish the bog when I was bored and we would obliterate a number of bluegill and small large mouth. Fun place considering we live like 5 minutes from it.

CKIM 85... what the heck are you talkin' about ... Nobody knows the "BOG" and even less people have actually fished it. Are you serious? That is cool.. it makes me think that there are more fish in there. ( We have to fish again this summer... good talkin' to you.)

Thanks Chris. It was nice to see a 13 pound King in my boat. I think it's good that you file reports even if it's at the Bog and you didn't do any good. I filed a report following our 13 pound fish and it was a 1 star trip. I think those reports are just as valuable because it lets the reader know where they are biting and where they are not. Anyway, I wish they could plant a few trout n the bog but I am guessing they wouldn't do that with all the spiny ray fish in it.

Like ckim85, I've caught Bluegill and bass (both about the same size) and an 8" catfish out of there. The bottom is so black, it is kind of a creepy little body of water to float. I think they should not allow flotation devices on the lake, stock it and make it a juvenile only lake (not enough of those around). The only issue would be policing it.

Chris, nice to see you're up in my neck of the woods. I've hit the bog twice in the last few weeks and have yet to get a bite. I've pulled about ten carp out of there now. Let's hit it in about a month.

What are you using when you catch the carp? Are they good size ones?
