Monday was a day of crazy spring weather. With it came typical bite swings. The early morning was biteless (is that a word?) as the low pressure front pounded Andy and the Gailey's of Orem, Ut with snow, rain as well as mixed snow and rain. The weather cleared, the barometer rose and the fish bit. Mostly he connected in the lower basin on Luminous Chartreuse U20 flatfish in depths of 220 to 240 pulling them within 5 feet of the bottom at 1.3 to 1.7 mph. All's well that ends well. Or, persistence pays. The big fish was 7 pounds.

Where is there RV camping over in that area right now? I was told the state park was closed to camping.

It was a new report, but the same pictures. Apparently, I wasn't logged in so maybe that is why the pics from yesterday didn't load. The State Park should be open. However, Manson Parks and Rec will open the Wapato Lake Campground by next weekend. 509-687-9635. The Lakeside Campground run by the City of Chelan is a big one and operates year round. 509-682-8024.
