Fog, and chilly. We took Rory's 50 foot yacht out to this lake, it hardly fit. The trolling motor battery died on us after less than an hour. Boy, it was hard to row that huge boat.
The fishing was pretty HOT. We took limits of nice 12-13 inch Rainbow in about 2 hours. This included the time it took for us to untangle windknots and everything. We had a pretty good time, laughing and hooting each time we hooked up. They were taking Olive Wooly buggers with olive grizzly hackle, sinking line, type IV.
We must have had too much fun, the Polite Game Officer felt he needed to check us out pretty good. Someone (probably a jealous bait fisherman) had spread a rumor that someone was taking more than legal limits of fish. Well, not us! It was nice to see a Game Officer actually! I wish they were around more frequently. Maybe some of those dimwits that leave litter would get a ticket. The Officer was using field glasses to check out fishermen, I bet those things would catch litterbugs too!
Anyway, we loaded that 50 foot yacht back into Rory's Ford, err, uhhh, Bowtie, and headed back home to get the fish ready for the smoker!
Good Luck to All!
