Worked the entire lake including my secret hotspots. Worked 5. 10. 25 to 35 feet of water in the bays and points dragged spin n glows worm harnesses looking for walleye too (I know they are in there). Marked fish at 65 feet, but I won't take em that deep because its too tough on em. But got skunked. Weeds on the north end are full bloom and about two feet below the surface. I'm sure some smallies would take the jigs but I wanted to give the walleye a chance too, to grace my supper plate. But nooooooooooooooooooo..............!!!!!!!! Beautiful day out and the wife enjoyed herself and got to put some more hours on the break in on my new motor. Why was I so satisfied even without catching anything? Not a bite. Next time......no mercy.

Have you actually caught walleyes at Hayden Lake?

No darn it, but I haven't really worked too hard at it. How do I know walleye are in there? I've seen pictures, one was 27 1/2 inches, and friends have told me they've caught em or know of someone accidentally catching them. The weeds are the big problem in that lake. I bet a slip bobber approach will "weed" them out. I will post if I do nail any.

Didn't take the time to measure the temps, sorry. But I'd say still cool range, sub 45 degrees.

Roger, someone is feeding you a line because there is not any walleyes in Hayden. In Lake Pend Oreille yes, but not in Hayden
