We, the BBs of BL, arrived at the crack of dawn on Opening Day at Williams Lake to find the Public Launch parking lot already third-full. “Uh-oh” was the thinking; we’re too late. But once we got into the fishing, we discovered that there was PLENTY of fishing for everyone! As soon as we plunked our lures into the 51-degree water, the fish began biting. Soon the buzzing of our fishing reel drags were near constant as fish after fish queue’d up to be the next fish into our creels.
The fishing was so hot and heavy--- we didn’t even have time to do our usual “snack” routine. Nope; no cookius-interruptus today! No time for it, because the fish kept on hitting our lures. We didn’t even make it to our usual destination on the lake--- we had limited-out within 300 yards of the boat launch! Yep; fishing was THAT GOOD--- it appeared that it mattered not WHAT our presentation to the fish was, it just mattered that it was PRESENTED to them. Imagine, if you will, the fish having fistfights over which fish would be the next one to hit the lure…
Fun Fishing at Williams Lake; but almost as soon as it started we limited-out.

THIS LAKE ROCKS.

We have enjoyed fishing on this lake over the years--- I hope we can continue to have great fishing here! Another fishing season begins--- with a BANG.
Thanks, WDFW.
