Started out at 9 am across from Connelly Park. It was pretty slow caught 7 smallies using an original rapala in siliver/black. The fish were in shallow about 2-5 ft. Nothing real big one around 3 lbs. Went to the north end to try for some walleye trolled around in 6-9ft caught two more smallies. This lake should be picking up real soon.

They just had the bass tournament there this past weekend. Stopped by for part of the weigh in on the first day. Talked to some of the fishermen, who said they really had to work for the fish. Last years winner only ended up with three fish for a total of 13 something ounces, and he's a local. When I was there the leader was over 18 lbs with a lot of fishermen were coming in at 13lbs.

I didnt stay long or come back the next day so dont know how it turned out.

We finished in 5th at the tournament on nothing but smallmouth. The winners had a 20lb. bag of smallies on Sunday with a 7.2lb. pig! We had 16.9lbs on Saturday to qualify in 6th place and then had 12.9lbs on Sunday for 5th. I got a 5.2 lb. smallie on a Western Swimmer in the Sexy color and then a 5.7lb on a Money Shot minnow. Pretty tough conditions, but the big fish were there for sure.

o wow, nice fish. Sounds like good fishing to me, how deep do you run your crank baits, that is what you cought them on right? Also how do you retrieve it, fast slow, use it like a jerk bait, just cerious and sounds like you know you fishing. Stay safe out there. I am heading to the evergreen res. this weekend do you know much about it?
