Fished downs from 11-6 with limited success targeting crappie and perch. Ended up catching 1 perch and 6 crappie between the two of us. The 5 we kept were around 10-13 inches. Was able to catch almost every crappie I saw today. At the end of the day the lake was covered in scum and cotton which will make fishing very difficult if it doesn’t blow off the lake. The trout on this lake were vicious at times but all the ones that we boated were dinks. Had the most success with the Berkley 3 inch Gulp Minnow (I pinch the first inch off to ensure better hookups) and a jig head either pitched and jigged in or with a float... Couldn’t find the perch today, maybe another time.
