The lake was insanely busy. The girl scouts had about 20-25 canoes out on the water and there was no way you could fish that end of the lake.

In addition there was probably 10 boats or so from the launch - including 1 guy who had a gas kicker on his Lund, I guess oem people don't know the regs.

When we were done we had to hang out in front of the launch while someone finished launching thier boat. Once they cleared we motored in. In the time it took to go that 100 feet someone else was backing up thier boat. Then while I was loading my boat, 2 more cars showed up with thier boats.

I wish I had gone to one of the bigger lakes where there is room to get away from the crowds.

If you check to reports there have been a few reports for this lake lately. I have fished this lake quite a bit over the years and except for opening day have never been on the lake with more then 6 boats. Don't let this trip discourage you This is a fun lake to fish you just picked a busy weekend to go.

I have fished this lake quite a bit in the last few years as well. I liked the seclusion of this lake, but knew this year after recieving a 6K trout plant it would be madness. I'm going to hold off until the stockers get caught and the traffice dies down, then go after the natural stock. they're less inclined to eat a giant green ball of power bait.

I too was at Langlois Lake the same day as the Lund was and had a great day. I caught and released 15 rainbows in about 3 hours even when the girls were out canoeing on their lake. Great little lake with plenty of room.for all. I was using worms and power bait and had many hits and also had 4-5 long distance releases.

I've caught fish when the Girl Scouts were splashing around. An old "Henning"s Guide to Fishing in Washington" cautions to be careful in summer when the girls are swimming. If you hook one, they put a heck of a fight, but they're illegal to keep.

What do you expect on a nice day and such a pretty lake. Of course there will be crowds. But it still beats other lakes or staying home.
