Went out to Downs this past weekend. Absolutely beautiful weather and couldn't have asked for a better day to be out there. I took a couple of friends with me. Like others, we'd heard the crappie reports, so they were interested in the crappie. No luck on the crappie, and we fished both around the dock and away from the dock. We did catch some nice looking trout. My primary interest was bass... only landed one. He wasn't too shabby but nothing I care to be seen in a picture with.
Going to have to do some thinking on the crappie and panfish. I wanted to show these guys a really good time out there. I thought for sure the perch would be a lot more active where we fished. Not too bad over all, though. Just had to work to get what we got!
