I have not yet fished that lake in my 7 years here in spkane and this is going to be my fist year. Do you think my 12' aluminum with a small trlling motor will work there? Stay safe out there.

Bazzdude - I would give it another 2 weeks if you want to increase your odds of a good bass day on deer. Your 12 foot aluminum should be fine........ just keep your eye on the weather for wind.

5/21/2010 8:10:00 PMhonkster with all due respect, you are a fool. Ive been catching bass shallow for a week and i have the pics to prove it. Its hard to believe you know anything about bass fishing with that kind of nonsensical logic. You see, deer lake is spring fed and deep which means its colder on average year round than most lakes in this area. hence the bass spawn earlier, especially with a mild winter. Do some homework and maybe one day you can catch fish like me.
