My wife had things to do in South Hill Puyallup and so the kids and I headed to Bradley Lake to pass the time. Despite the weather, I had a feeling the window for catching could still be open. On the way in, two folks were on their way out and one was holding a 20" plus trout. I took that and the multiple swirls on the surface as signs of a fair shake of getting a few.

The use of the wrong rod cost us the first 4 trout (we really weren't prepared for fishing, just one MH spinning rod for bass) in the first spot.

We hit success on the floating dock. 5 trout in about 10 minutes before the Mrs. called to say she was done. I suppose that was okay because it started to rain.

I just wanted to share this here and I will post a better report on the reports page. They caught one each and I caught 3.

FC spinners are awesome!!!! Get some because they really work and because the maker of these lures is a site sponsor.

Yeah, I just found out. It ain't our neck of the woods. Big oops on my part, for which I apologize profusely. Incidentally, I did see adults fishing. Yowza!

Elijah,

FC Spinners is a site sponsor of one of the forums here, the Trout and Kokanee one. There was an inline spinner swap not too long ago that I participated in and that it how I got a couple. Check out the forum too.

Hey just FYI, it might be a good idea to keep your eyes open when heading onto an unfamiliar lake around here. The game dept can be pretty unforgiving...especially at a place like bradley where there are signs posted all over the place that fishing was closed to adults. You never know when you might hit an emergency closure of some kind that could spoil your fishing for the next couple of years... Too bad about the other adults!

Glad the action was good for you though!
