10lbs, that's about 1lb shy of the record?'

is this lake a non-combustible engine lake? I haven't been there in years. only dock fished before.

Electric motors only. There is a sign out at the end of the gravel road that says no gas motors.

That's a biggie piggie fer sure. Congrats.

Congrats I knew they had a few in there but I didn`t think anything nearly that big was in there. Nice fish

Congrats on that fish! I hope you catch some more and post some good pics. I have been trying to get the bass guys on this lake for a while now....I've been seeing 5lb + fish in there for a couple years in a row...but being a bass novice, I've had no chance at landing them....and I have to agree with fishingmachine on the smallie, I've seen plenty of fish taken from there, but never a smallie.....unless someone has been doing bucket biology....lol ;) @ Kevin B

mostly crank baits or plastics? my biggest lmb's were all on senkos for some reason. might be because I throw senkos more than anything else, hehe.

the easiest way to tell if it's a smalle is to look at it's jaw. if the edge of the jaw line goes back past it's eye, it's a largie, if it ends before the eye, it's a smallie :)
Elijah.Loves.Fishin
6/5/2010 12:30:00 PM
actually, it'll end roughly right under the eye for smallies, but you can also tell by the sheer size of the mouth :D largies are nicknamed bucketmouths for a reason!

that is not lake wilderness!! I live on the lake and by the background i know.

6/5/2010 5:05:00 PM
and that is not a 10lb bass. or even 9lb whatever. I would say at best a 6lber maybe 7 on a good day. You wouldn't hold a 10lber like that trust me. If you want to see some 9lb or 10lb bass to compare I would be happy to show ya. In fact, I can show you 8lbers that dwarf that fish

JS
6/6/2010 8:31:00 PM
look at the size of your hand compared to the size of the mouth on the fish........not a nine pound fish. just sayin.

i love how there are some many IDIOTS who hate on other people for catching big fish and have to make themselves feel better by posting stupid snotty remarks saying the fish is smaller. pathetic.. you people need to grow up and get a life.
