This was my first time ever fishing Stevens, OR Kokes and I must say, I will certainy be back!
Took my friend out for a morning of fishing before she had to go to work, launched at 9am and took out at 3:30pm. Started off with a 50/50 dodger and a red wedding ring behind it, tipped with a gulp maggot trolling 10ft on a downrigger, and a singbade with a green/pink wedding ring on the surface.
First thing as soon as I got hers set up, started counting out line to clip it to the downrigger and WHAM! Fish on! Hadn't even been in the water for a whole minute. Got it to the boat and it was an 11"er, after that things settled down a bit, got a few more bites on the downrigger with the dodger, so I switched out the slingbade for an all nickle dodger, and started getting hits on it too. Quiet a few more bites, some fish hooked up, but lost half way to the boat, and another two 13"ers made it into the boat. After that we got a few short strikers before having to pack up and head for home.

All in all we had a GREAT day on the water, and will definitely be coming back! We even managed to get in the truck RIGHT before it started raining. Can't wait to get these guys on a plate either! Anyone have some good recipies?

Good luck and tight lines!

Thanks guys! I'll check those out. Kokanee Tacos sound amazing! I've been doing fish tacos with sturgeon lately, and they have been mighty tasty!
