Looks like you are the #1 out there for Dollies! If the next closest Dolly was 13 inches and judging by past photos of Dollies you've caught, I'd say your chances are pretty good to repeat again next year... Nice job.

6/6/2010 5:22:00 PMTribal permits are available at the Amanda Park Mercentile store just north of the turnoff to the south shore of Lake Quinalt on highway 101 (heading north). They are also available at the two stores on the south shore road, one is at the Rain forest resort. Weekend permits were $10 last year, boat permits are $15 (up from $10 last year) and are not available on a weekend basis I beleve. Annual permits for fishing are $35. Limits are generous, 12 fish , no more then 4 Dollies per limit, all rainbows over 14" must be released (steelhead), all salmon must be released, basically you are fishing for wild cuts and Dollies, there are some tackle restrictions, info is available at the Quinalt tribal site. The rule that NO water sking or jet skis allowed make for quiet fishing for canoes and small boats are a plus as are the free launches in two out of the three campgrounds on the south shore. Camping sites are nice, other lodging of various types are also in the imm. area. We live a little over an hour away so it has become our go to lake for spring through fall fishing. Generally pristene condition so tread lightly to keep it that way. Thanks and good luck to all. Bob R and Melanie

6/7/2010 1:17:00 PMGreat looking fish. I think you need a new weight scale.....unless its the angle of the picture...that fish looks much heavier. You may have some more competion next year, I'm putting it on my calandar for next June!

6/7/2010 3:23:00 PMMy wife took the photo, she really got a nice perspective on it, the scale was the official scale from the derby, the 5lb. 5 oz. looks stouter, check earlier report from May for pic. Look forward to some WA. Lakes members to hit this derby, good luck! Bob R
