Headed up to Eloika after our grandson's t-ball game at Riverside, got on the water around 7:30, gave us about 1 1/2 hrs of good quality fishing and had a blast. We caught about 12 fish mostly dinks and a couple of nice 3 and 4 lbers. Water temp was 69-70 in the shallows, surface cabbage wasn't too bad. Picked up most fish on the edges of the dollar pads.

wow nice fish, did you try any top waters? Also did you see any dead bass out there? Stay safe out there.

That is a nice 4 lb. fish on the right...looks to be approaching 5 maybe? Good job!

Bazzdude, didn't try topwaters on this outing, I did however have success with a plastic topwater frog a couple weeks ago in the evening, running it on top of the dollar pads but didn't catch anything over 3lbs, they attacked it pretty hard but had problems setting the hook so I missed quite a few. I saw 2 dead bass floating to the left of the public launch...
ScottPratt, the one on the right was pretty close to 5lbs, I have a digital scale and it showed 4.13, maybe I should round up :)

4.13 is about 4lbs 2 oz. Can't be rounding up that much. lol Still a real good fishie.

Amx, yes, lol, I guess you missed my humorous sarcasm for scottpratt, if you look at my post I did say the fish was 4lbs. Also, when I hold a fish it looks bigger probably because I'm a short little old japanese guy 5' 6" ish 175lbs. Happy fishing :)

This short little old japanese guy had to take a second look at his digital scale and realized that it reads exact weight, 4lbs 13ozs not 4.13, so ScottPratt you are right, the one on the right was close to 5lbs...
