6/11/2010 3:43:00 PMA donalson was a rainbow that was produced by a professor at the UofW back in the 1960's. They were genetically designed to grow at extremely rapid rates. I don't know much about any recent attempts with those fish, the originals did not fight well, and bit everything, so they were caught very quickly after they were planted. Needless to say they were not real successful. However, I suppose todays triploids could be considered descendents of Donaldson's work.
