This little impoundment just west of the golf course in Clarkston, WA is apparently stocked with rainbows. Lots of family action that morning. Had small success with worms under bobber, most people there were using powerbait/power eggs on the bottom with great success. I switched to a silver vibrax spinner with black hair tail. Put a red powerbait maggot on one of the treble hooks. Really had a lot of succcess and fun with that lure on an ultralight setup for about two hours, C&R 4 trout and a 1 lb. smallmouth. Nice lake and only 5 minutes from town. People very courteous and friendly there. Not a spot I'd make a special trip for, but if you're in town at Clarkston it's a nice diversion.

Those little pond's are awesome. There's another one a mile or so past that one. Use to live in clarkston and we use to catch our limits at those pond's.

Really a great resource to teach the kids to love fishing. If we don't get them "hooked" early, they won't grow up to protect fishing resoruces for us old folks!

This is a great little trout pond that is stocked well! It's close to town and whatever you might need for your outing. There are two more ponds, on the same side of the highway, a few miles west that offer Trout and Bass. We've got loads of free information on ways to enjoy fishing Hells Canyon, and would love to help you with everything you need to make your trip perfect, be it at the ponds or on the Snake or Clearwater Rivers.
