Hit the lake around 3pm trollin the banks. I was pitchin' t-rigged curly tailed jigs (watermelon) and Josh (my roommate) was throwing a blue and silver fat shad crankbait. Nailed about 40+ rockbass throughout the evening. Moved over to the weedlines on the southeast side of the lake, Josh gave his crank a good toss, and bam, hawg on! Fish weighed in at 6lbs and measured 20 inches! Biggest smallmouth I've seen yet this year and his PB bass! Two cast later he nailed another smallie, about 3lbs! Great day for him! As for me, all rock bass and one dink smallie, but oh well, next time! My big victory was a couple kids who needed a ride back from the island across from the boat launch. Got ten bucks and 4 free beers for a 20 yard ferry ride! Booya! Tight lines all!
