7/25/2010 3:38:00 PMI was looking at a map of the place today. Looks like a typical soup bowl type of lake, shallow angle out to deep water in the middle. And looked at a road map to see where the launch is. I'll have to drive by some day to see just what the launch looks like. Won't be before Aug.'s payday. Looks like you'll have to fish deep with dropshot, splitshot, or carolina rig. Or if it has much in the way of pads, fish back in the pads a few feet or yards with a weighted worm/jig or such.

7/25/2010 3:50:00 PMI tried a florida rig in and around the pads with no avail crankbait, jerkbait and a carolina rig and still nothing. Only thing I didn`t try was real deep. I used a drop shot and a florida rig up to about 10ft. when I go back next option is deep.

7/25/2010 4:19:00 PMI`m gonna get ya out there soon tryin to figure the work thing out. Water level is way down from last week so I can see out to about 10ft. I did see one schoolof trout but no bass around them.

7/26/2010 6:30:00 AMWe fished Morton on Friday, had one good hit in the boat, but did real well from the private dock just using white and chartruse, or white and sunrise combo, w/a 3 to 4 ft. lead. We kept 4 and lost 3 others right at the dock or boat. It does seem pretty shallow, but the fish looked real nice, and considering how hot it was on Friday, a pretty decent day overall.
