Took my 2 sons with me and hit the water around 8:00am. We were using just 2 rods spoon on 1 and a wedding ring on the other, bait was worms. Only got a couple bites, likely a few bass nipping away at our worms. Decided 2 go with Power Bait (pink&orange) 4 a while with not much luck. We trolled passed some guys on the public dock across the lake from the boat launch and had the friendly catch anything conversation exchange. About 2 minutes had passed from our conversation and I started 2 suggest to my oldest son maybe we should go back 2 worms. That's when my oldest got a huge bite. He cranked that baby in and sure enough it was a 4-5lb 14-15 inch catfish, nearly bent his rod under the boat. He was using a rectangular spoon called a Skiny Mini which had a triple hook and he was using the pink&orange Power Bait. Nice little catfish but it was the only thing we caught needless to say had a great time.

Nice catch. Ive had my best luck fishing for cats on the south end of the lake in 8-10ft of water in the cove fishing nightcrawlers under a bobber with 3ft of leader. Sounds like a fun fight.
