I used to live 6 miles from Fan & fished it a lot from 02'-04' & occasionally from 05'-08'. The biggest Bass i've seen come out of Fan was a 6 lb LMB my friend caught there in 03'. I've caught a lot of nice SMB in there the last 5 years & in the past a lot of 2 1/2 lb LMB with a couple in the 4 lb range. I've never seen anyone catch SMB in Fan except me & no one seems to believe their in there, but i haven't fished Fan for a couple years so maybe it's different now. For LMB try the mouth of the back bay/back bay, hit the few docks, the cattails & island. For SMB fish out from shore in 10-20 ft. start @ the camp & work around to the rocky slope at the mouth of the bay. Just be sure to keep your plastics close to the bottom, that's the way they seem to like it there. Dropshot or Shakyhead both work great @Fan. I know you love Topwater......& in the evening's we did get some nice 2 lb -3 lb LMB in the back bay on Topwater. One LMB broke off 3 floating Rapala's as fast as i could tie em' on. Good Luck- William
