Decided on Panther Lake today it's been a couple of seasons since I've fished here. My youngest son and I got on the water a little past 10:00 am trolling was the method. About 15min in got my first bite using a red beaded wedding ring & worm and got a largemouth bass on. I nearly had it in the boat before it shook free. Made one full lap with my son and I getting several bites and a couple more largemouth bass on but unable to bring them in. I continued using the wedding ring & worm with some success. At one point a largemouth bass hit my sons rod he handed off to me I gave it a yank and snap busted it right below the middle point of the pole. So much for micro-graphite being as strong as larger poles word to the wise don't waste your $. Good thing we brand a back up. Now around 11:30 am heading south from the boat launch about 1/8 of the way into lap # 2 in front of some houses just off the end of some docks I brought in a 9" largemouth bass. Continued getting bites and a few more on through the second lap. With our third a little under way and roughly the same spot I reeled in another largemouth bass just under 9" and that was that. The battery ran out of juice so I got some rowing practice in and we called it a day.
