After the kind of luck we had on Thur Aug 12th me and my girlfriend decided to come back and see if the fishing was still EXCELLENT! It was just as good as it was a couple days ago. We started fishing the south end near the boat launch and caught a few bass. The wind was blowing a little today and kept making my pond prowler drift away from our spot. I got a little frustrated and started heading towards the north end of the lake. As I was headed up there I threw out my 1/8oz River2Sea crawdad lure and started trolling it and caught a few bass on it. I didn't think I would get any fish trolling this type of lure. For the most part the fishing was almost nonstop again for bass. Most were between 8-14" again with the biggest being 2 3/4lb. The fish were all fighting hard so it was alot of fun. We we're using our favorite brown 3" senko to catch most of the fish. I was using the 1/8oz river2sea crawdad in black, brown, and green for all of my bass.
We released all the fish like we always do.

We took a lunch break and ate some food we brought with us and anchored out in the middle of the lake. I rigged up some nightcrawlers and were floating them off the bottom. As soon as the sinker hit the bottom my girlfriend had a bass on. The next 2 fish were 15" trout. She had hooked a couple more trout after that. I didn't expect to catch any trout because the weather was so hot. It was another awesome day on my new favorite lake!

Those look like nice trout. I don't know this lake but I would say if you want to catch some bigger bass, try going to the 5 or 6" senko. You will still get some of the smaller fish but the bigger bait just might get the interest of the larger ones. Happy Fishing
