8/27/2010 9:55:00 PMYou bring up a very good point, in catching your fish again, as I have caught a fair number of fish in my time adorned with jewelry, it proves they can survive just fine with a hook in them. Most of the time the hooks will rust away a lot quicker than you would ever believe. So the point I think to make here is that we have all hooked those smaller fish or fish and release and get one really deep or too close to the eye etc, well the best thing to do is cut the line as close to the hook and let the fish go, but hang around a bit to make sure they don't float up and a gull gets it... Good job by you and yours!
