Finesse bass baits are still too big for panfish, so by slicing a Zoom finesse worm into a two long thinner pieces and then halving them once more, I made 4 little leeches. Wacky rigged on a small bait holder, the thinner pieces wobbled more like a grub tail and i hooked into pesky little fish.

I will definitely use this as a panfish bait from now on. The plastic is durable than the yamamoto material, more than nightcrawler hunks and with better action on the fall. Cheap too, since the zoom worms were 20 pieces for 2 bucks, which is actually 80 pieces when sliced up. Plain split shot and baitholder hook. Good choice for when the fishing is tough and you don't have a boat.

That mean fewer missed bites next time. Wish i thought of this yesterday at Lk Kilarney, i missed 90 percent of the bites on size 1 worm hook and 3 inch grub. Lame! However my last hour, the fish were surface feeding and i switched to a small jerbait and caught a 1lb bass. It was nice to end well but I'd rather catch fish all day.
