Got to public boat launch at about 8 a.m Saw that parking lot was full of larger bass boat trailers so pressure on the fish was on for the day..-water temp 58 to 68 degrees-water clarity muddy-Depth most fish found 3 to 4 foot-Fish were holding deep in the red brush and were taking the lure and spitting it out so fast that you only had a split second to set the hook- Best bait black plastic craw with brass rattle-best presentation flipping the brush and logs.-weather foggy in the morning then sunny skies with wind picking up in the afternoon.-I am now showing on certain reports a picture of the most productive lure for the day. The locals on this lake call this lure that i make up the "Newby Rig"(Note that craw picture is plastic from Mann's Bait Co. and has been out of production for about 6 or 7 years so maybe match as close to get similar look and action) Dave Newby
