If you killed that fish,, you are depleting the gene pool of that lake to continue producing fish like that one..

I hope he tasted good,, What a waste if you did kill it

Come on Deepbuzzer and CarpMouth, do you really think that this is the place for this? Let the man have a trophy and stop with the envy garbage.

No envy garbage here look at my Avatar and you will clearly see I have no envy over a fish like his,, The fact is in the pacific northwest northern strain largemouth bass will be 15 years old at 20.0". So you can see a fish of that size has been building Newman lakes gene pool for awhile . If fish of this size are constantly removed, Newman lake will eventually lose the ability to produce fish of this size... But you must know all of this because you seem so intelligent.. If this was a bass of the Florida strain that fish would only be 3-4 years old,, that is why a fish of that size i sn't newsworthy in places like the Southeast of United States.. So say what you will. This day and age we need to look after our fisheries.

Deepbuzzer, as usual, you speak out of both sides of your mouth. If the fish is indeed 15 years old (I think you are a little over on that) then the productive years of this fish are now limited at best. Additionally, as you have so intelligently said, this fish has already been "building Newman lakes gene pool for awhile". I agree, we need to look after our fisheries, but if you stop people from having LEGAL trophy fish now and then, then you will do more harm then good. Now, if he catches several Bass a year that size, like apparently you do, and I as well, then turning one away that size is no big deal - It gets fun to watch a big bass swim away unharmed. A side note, preaching to people kind enough to post their fishing results, when they have done nothing wrong, stops them from posting at all. Is that your goal? If so, I'd rather you leave the site then Andy. This site is built on reports like Andy's, not preaching like you and I do.

No one asked Andy to leave, the whole point of this conversation it to just educate,, I do have a degree in fisheries biology.
Worked for the state of Florida. Until I semi retired.. Enough said...

Nice fish, very nice fish. Here's the way you do it fellas. Hey andy, did you release the fish or did you keep it to mount on the wall? Either way it's your choice. That one is a wall hanger, certainly not an eater. Nice going. Happy fishing

WOW!! nice fish Andy. I recently caught a 6lb rainbow out of Chapman lake and I have got it going into the smoker on tuesday. Alot of people say i should of let it go, Bull crap!! This bass is huge and I too would have a pic in my back yard. These fish get big because they are smart this time you were smarter. This site is designed to let people know what is going on in area lakes and post like yours keeps us comming back, so keep posting and thanks for the info.

deepbuzzer, your right, FLORIDA, enough said. Those southern bass are just like our nothern bass, right? I am not concerned that you asked Andy to leave, but you did a pretty good job at trying to drive him away. Thanks AJ's Dad and Tomnordman.

You know it is people like deepbuzzer that have ruined this website. I have quit posting my reports on this website due to POS's like him. I wish the administrators would just get rid of the comment section all together so that we don't have to listen to backyard biologists like deepbuzzer tell all of how we are supposed to fish. Next he will be telling us how to live our lives to. I am sure he votes Democrat.
