The drive to Dry Lake from the Seattle area was so worth it. My first time there.
Water level was low. Launched the 'Portabote' in 6" of water. Fortunately it floated enough to drudge through to the opens.
Hooked 9, landed 6. 4 were in the 17-18" range.
Triple teaser on just one color of leaded line from a Light Action rod kept it fun.
There were 3 other people flyfishing from float-tubes.
The surroundings were spectacular, and the fish were too.
Now, if I can just sneak in one last trip over the Thanksgiving weekend. Must be nice to wifey!
Lake closes Nov.30th, but I wish it was Nov.60th.
Selective gear: single hook, barbless. No internal combustion motors. Keep only one, but I say leave 'em.

Looks like you had an awesome day to fish. No wind or rain and cooperative rainbows, good times for sure! Nice to see the triple teaser get its due, it is money on Blue Lake as well.

Yes, thank you for the photo of the triple teaser. i just wanted to say that the Triple Teaser is one of those OLD school lures that I have maybe 1/2 dozen or so T. teasers in the tackle box. I haven't used one since I was a kid, and honestly couldn't remember if they even caught fish. I now will not throw it out.

nice looking fish. i have not used a triple teaser before. Do you use a weight and a swivel as well> so that the line does not twist? Just cerious, i have seen them before but never thrown one out before. Stay safe out there.

My usual is to use lead-core line with a lightweight mono leader. No need for any additional weight. A swivel would be a good idea, but I don't use one. This autumn I have had better success with the small spoons than I have with flies. Must be that they attract attention a little more as they wiggle while trolling along. Have had similar results with small 'Dick Nite' spoons.
