My Dad and I fished Shady Lake early Saturday morning. This was our first time fishing this lake. Luckily my friend Mike had fished the lake before, so we knew what worked the best (worms). Mike and his son were also fishing the lake the same morning we were there. There were about a dozen other boats on the lake at one time. Since it is such as small lake, it seemed like there were a lot more boats. We fished the lake for a little over 3 hours and caught 9 rainbows between 9 inches and 12 inches in size, with the average being 10 inches. All of the fish we caught were planters. We saw a number of fish being caught by others on the lake who were trolling or still fishing. The lake surface temperature was 65 degrees.
