Fished open water.

Selective-gear

Two healthy hard-fighting browns in short order- 15" & 17"

Retained my limit of 2 over 14", so it cut my fishing trip way short. Started to rain anyways and decided to hit the gym.

Great trout lake, not so much for anything else.

@bazzdude - Are you asking me what selective-gear means? It's one of the definitions in the regs manual and pertains to certain lakes (of which Medical is one). Selective gear means only unscented artificial flies or lures with one single-point, barbless hook. Up to a total of three per line. Bait is prohibited. Fish may be released until daily limit is retained (now retained is another definition that isn't quite clear - see the threads about Hog Canyon Lake, but I take it to mean, if you have put the limit into your creel, then you're done for the day - that's two over 14" on Medical). Only knotless nets may be used to land fish. If fish has swallowed hook or is hooked in the gill, eye or tongue, it should be kept if legal to do so.
