Went to Chambers to try out my new to me BassTracker. Ran it once early this week but wanted to try to fish out of it, so rain or more rain or shine, we went.

I had one good bite on a jig, and that was about it. We saw a dead 3 pounder in another boat and one other boat that was out there said that he c&r'd one fish.

Water temp. was 50-51. Lake was smooth as glass. We got soaked:)

That was me putting in when you guys were taking out. Yeah, me Rockjigg who forgot the bilge plug. LOL. After draining the boat I tried for about 3 hours but only got soaked and cold. Better luck next time I guess. Hey, your boat looks nice though.

Thanks man, first bass boat. Wanted cheap and aluminum and got my wish. Yeah, that was a wet one, too bad about your plug, but, I am pretty sure that most everyone has forgotten a plug or two in their life:)

Yeah it was wet. I was thinking that you are a brave man. While everyone else was heading for home you were just putting in. Too bad about your plug, lol, but it happens to everyone. I forgot my drain plug on my little 12' SmokerCraft 3 times in a row in Tanwax last year. Luckily, while pushing it off the trailer I heard it gurgling so all I had to do is wind it back up and climbed out there to put the dang plug in.

Oh, thanks about my boat. My first bass boat. Wanted cheap and aluminum and ended up doing alright. 1994 boat, no leaks, motor is a dream and I am a happy man.

Good choice on the Tracker arniejl! Mine is a 99' PT175, best money I have ever spent! If I had to estimate, I would say I have over 10,000 hours of actual 'fishing' time on it and it's still going strong! They hold up great to the elements and you don't have to rush it to the repair shop to fix the gel coat if you scrape against something... Enjoy that thing!!! I caught a 5 and 5.5lber last week (see pics in Secret Lake Report), they are moving up shallower, just slowly. Try finding grass in 8-12 feet and throw lipless crankbaits, sometimes that can be a good bet if they aren't wanting to commit to shallow cover you can still get them on a reaction strike... (P.S. To the nay sayers on the 10,000 hours estimate, I decided to keep track of just "float time" one year (push off from shore to return to pull out) and from March 1st to September 1st I had already hit 830hrs of just fish time! I typically bass fish from March 1st well into November every year, and have had my boat for 11 years... Yes, it is nice :) Good fishing arniejl! B8
