got to lake, after we put the boat in a guy pulled up in his boat with 2 good sized trout. thought to ourselves its gunna be a good day. my buddy saw a lil fish jump and a guy in a boat catch a small trout. thats all the action we got/saw. hard day of fishing. feel like we tried the whole lake. the guy who caught one seemed to be using bait on hook. didnt ask the guy that had the nice size trout when we arrived. should have. next time i reckon..

To bad for the skunk, at least you got out on the water...

I went there last Friday when it was sunny looking for largemouth jigging, crankbaits, rat-l-traps ... nothing. I didn't see anyone land any fish while we were out there for about 2.5 hours and there were quite a few boats and a bunch of people at the park. Guess the lake needs to warm up a bit. How is Beaver in the Summer? This was my first visit.

Mine too. I have read the reviews in the past for it and was excited. I read that on 4.11.11 the day after we were out on the lake they put in another 20k trout. I guess we were a day early. was nice to be out on the water. surface temp was around 47*F forgot to take water reading. I am hoping it is better the warmer it gets.

Beaver got two plants this spring of around 5000 fish each plant for 10,000 total. It's supposed to get 245 Triploids this month, maybe those were the two big ones you saw.
