Not much today besides this 5 inch lunker! Haha. Both air and water temperatures seemed warmer today. Small, size 20 insects were hatching on the water surface, but not many risers. Thousands of spent chironomid casings everywhere. After some rain and a narly hailstorm, I got only a nibble until after sunset. After sunset must've had 3-4 missed hits until finally a hook up as I was getting read to throw out another cast. Found this guy was stuck to the end of my line. One or two more hits after that but no hitch. Must've been too small to fit the fly in their mouth like this one. As always, the little guy was safely released. Seems to me Bass season is starting to warm up!

Magnificent! Well, interesting. My grandson pulled in a bass he didn't even know was on there Tuesday. About half the length of the lure. Your right though. We caught a few little ones.

I love seeing pictures of fish that aren't trout or mackinaw. Thanks for sharing!
