I decided after watching the weather, that it wasnt to bad out, What the heck I might as well go hit lake Cassidy since I live 5 minutes from there.. I 9 ft livingstong out of the back of my astro.. ( NOT FUN SOLO) got in the water about 10:00. Started trolling my usual trout killer setup, with no response. I pulled up to my crappie grounds and I was going to change setups, I just happened to have a bobber setup on my other rod, Slap a fresh crawler on and toss it out.. Before I could set the rod down fish on Nice chunky bluegill, and more blue gill, drift to the next pocket, perch after perch, No im just thinking bobber and worm only today.. So I toss out again Only this time its not a perch or crappie or gill or trout, Its a freaking 6lb bucketmouth, and shortly after that in the same spot another one aboput 3 lbs lost right at the boat .. I wish I could post the pic, it was amazing.

All in all today 40 perch or so. To many to count, couple crappie, 20 bluegill, two triploids, and two bass.. Fun Fun Fun, this is the cassidy I remember

Hey Joe,

You inspired us to quit throwing beetlespins yesterday. We saw you getting action on your bobber setup and switched over. Good call. We only caught a few but had a ton of fun. You definitely weren't havng fun getting out at the launch by yourself. Hard enough with two people. All the perch we caught were dinks. Are there any larger ones to be had, filet size?

I only hooked a few fillets. I did manage one about 8. 9 but I didn't have my cooler or stringer and I wasn't catching any of size so I tosssed him.. the north east Side has the bigger perch. I have always found. . Well I'm glad you guys got inspired haahaha bobber and worm is ol reliabale. . Good meeting you guys. I didn't know so many members hit Cassidy. If You want huge perch go fish lake ketchum 9 to 11 inchers. Ni joke lots of them . They hit trout trolling setups. See y'all again

I can't believe you caught Bluegill in Cassidy. I've been fishing there on and off since the 1960s and have never heard of Bluegill in there. Are they fairly new to the lake? Are there any other lakes in the area that have Bluegill?
