Would have rather been on the PO river for our annual fathers day outing but the mph restriction and lack of time put a damper on that so me and my younger son went to Lake Spokane to fish for some smallie's. Got to the DNR launch around 2, very windy, water temps in the upper 50's still, headed south to Long lake and hit one of my favorite spots where he nailed his first smallie! Sure was nice to see him catch a nice one, he's been out on a few outings with me before and always seem to miss fish, but not this time! Most effective lure was the pumpkin seed zoom trick worm and watermelon/red flake grub on a shaky head. Good job son and thanks for the fun time!

Did you happen to see how the water levels were around the 9 mile launch? Because i want to go out this week, but DNR launch is only open on weekends.

I didn't go by and check, but was there last Sunday and it was flowing over the dock! If you want to fork out $15 you can launch at Willow Bay...

Oops, sorry, that was at the Spokane house $7 launch, haven't heard anything on the nine mile rec area launch...

Drove up to Suncrest the other day and the lake appears to be back at summer pool so you should be able to launch at any of the public launches.
