Camped at Steamboat 22nd through 26th. Pleasant weather but big winds, which prevented us from covering large portions of the lake. Fished Barker, Steamboat, clay banks, Punchbowl, and Jones. Jigs, spinners, 80 feet, 10 feet, fast, slow, dark, light. One walleye for 4 days of fishing. The weather had gone from mid 80's to lo 70's and windy. Water temps 62-64. We did find plenty of bass, both largemouth and smallmouth, so that was fun. Just when you think you can catch a walleye at Banks Lake.......

No worries...same thing happended to me at the Potholes recently. The weather is acting more like April/May than end of June! The good news is we caught as many as Shelby...the bad news is we both sucked!! lol

should have run up to Rufus or down to Park or Blue.. it was windy though so I hit Rufus Saturday and limited in an hour and a half with the biggest just under 6lb's.. headed back to Park and after dodging all the pleasure boaters, achored up in a cove and caught some decent rainbow and had about a 6lb brown follow my spinner right up the boat! darn, turned away at the last minute. sorry you didn't fair so well but still beats working!
