Still fished lake tapps in the afternoon with night crawlers around the stumps. Saw a lot of fish on the finder, but only caught and released a small perch and bass.
Returned to the dock and dangled a nightcrawler over the side of the boat. Caught two big carp within an hour. Lots of fun on a trout rod. Looked on the internet for recipes and ended up with a brine mix, then smoked them for 14 hours. Cut out the red meat (gamey taste) and eat the white meat. The taste and texture are between a dolly varden and sockeye. Everybody at work loved it.
