Coffeepot really paid out today. Used plastic shad worms, senkos and tube worms. All watermelon color. 3 of us on the boat caught 7 largemouth bass and 3 rainbows all over 2 pounds, 1 largemouth was 3 pounds. Lots of 1 pounders and smaller. Just fished the edges of the cliffs and the reeds.

Great day on the lake.

Very cool, but technically, the Senkos, which are salted, were not legal. This would be a flavored/scented bait, and Coffeepot is a selective gear rules lake.

Great report nonetheless, and looks like great fish as well.

It's not a paddle boat, it's a Boston Whaler that belongs to my father in law.

Craig, please don't take this as a complaint. Some years ago it was a lake that was watched pretty close, and apparently they gave out tickets for that. Lately, I have seen no enforcement, so ........................... I still wonder about the logic of calling a scented plastic worm bait......... but I digress.............LOL

I am pretty new at this so I am actually thankful for the input. I know better now so I won't use them there anymore.

Had a buddy get talked to their by game and fish about senko's. They let him off but he got a talking to about no bait, and they are scented.

It kinda sucks too, I understand why for the trout. I know it is a good bass lake, but fishing a crank with a single barbless for bass just is not the same. It leaves jigs and plastics to be about the best thing to do barbless, and so many plastics have scents these days.

After reading about the "scented Senkos" I went the the store and scoured the bags of new Senkos. I didn't see anything about them being scented. What makes you think they are scented?
