We hit the lake again today, interesting day to say the least. There was a strange mojo going on at the Panorama Point launch, everybody was civil but seemed cranky. Then as we were leaving the cove I realized that we forgot our bait, at home… On the way to up to the area we were going to fish I tried choking to death on something I ate, I had to stop the boat and collect myself. It was a very strange start to our day.

Regarding the fishing, we started our hot with multiple hits but lost all but 1 of the fish. As the morning progressed it was slow but we were able to get a number of fish to bite. Our problem was that we couldn’t get anything to stick. We fished a number of different depths. And varied our trolling speed between 0.8 and 1.7 or 8 mph. We were running a combination of dodger or swing blades and the following lures; smiley blade/beads, custom tied fly or mini squid. It seemed that the smiley blade/beads produced better than our other offerings. We tried to fish out of the crowd today and I think that if we had bait we would have done much better. Final count, 10 or 12 solid hits/fish on for 1 in the box. The day was absolutely beautiful and we had great company, fellowship and food.

We fished both with the crowd and away from them. We had sand shrimp, smelly jelly, and ran a few different set ups at several different depths. Both my keepers were at about 46 feet and the one I released at 17 inches was at 30’. The three others we played momentarily were at between 35 and 45 feet. All were right in front of Noisy Creek itself which is also where we marked the majority of the fish. I noted a large number of boats fishing close to shore and when we went close to shore we marked lots of fish. Who knows if they were kokes, RBT, or sockeye but I think that people’s fish finders may have kept those people close to the shoreline. Just a guess! We also lost one at the boat and had two get off after the take down. I found the bite very slow. Glad you had more activity than most. It's weird how on some days you don't miss a single strike and other days you can get one in the net to save your life. You watch, today they will be jumpin in the boat and everyone will limit. Glad you had a nice trip. And I'm glad you didn't choke to death either. Choking is a very scary experience!

Thats got to suck about leaving the bait at home. The last time I went out was with the fam and I had to deal with a real cranky who took up the only launching area for 20min. Do you know if anyone is doing any good in the afternoon time frame. Just trying to figure out if a trip after work is due able. Thanks for all the great reports
