The past few days on Potholes have been very productive! Thursday evening boated 3 nice Walleye and lost a 30"er at the boat. Friday morning produced 4 nice big Walleye, then we went on a several hour wild goose chase for largemouth that produced only a few during the mid-day heat. Friday afternoon back after the Walleye and the bite turned on, boated 7 or 8 to 27", several brown bullheads, and a 16" 2.2 lb Crappie!
Saturday morning was a tough bite (sorry Scott!) we hooked 6 and only boated 2 with a 26" big boy. Saturday afternoon we head out about 3 with a nice breeze and before all the rods are out we have a 21" Walleye. Then nothing but a couple of bullhead and a perch for about 2 hours. I start the big motor to move to a new area and FISH ON! 22" Walleye, so we aren't moving. Trolled the rest of the evening on a steep breakline catching Walleye steadily topped off with a 30" 10Lb monster that a nice lady battled for nearly ten minutes as it ran, jumped, and twisted like a Steelhead! She was exhausted from the fight and had her husband help hold the rod near the end of the fight.
Monday morning I snuck out early by myself and boated 4 Wallleye to 23" and 6 smallmouth with one almost 4 Lbs..
