I have been to barclay many times over the years but this was the first time with my fishing gear. It was cold and rained hard all day. The water level was alot higher than I expected. There was alot of surface activity and even saw a couple little fish get way out of the water. I used my ugly stick ultra light 4' 8" 1 peice rod/reel combo. 4# line, fixed bobber, #8 hook, peice of nightcrawler. I got constant bites up and down the north shore about 20-30 feet out. Setting the hook was a little tuff since the fish were so small. I hooked some though, All very small fish. I did try some spoons, spinners, and jigs further out and deeper to see if there was any larger fish, Dont think there is. It was a good time. I also checked the creek in a couple spots looking for fish but didnt see any.

Brook trout huh. Cool, my first. I wasn't sure as it had color under its throat. Thank you for that info.

Afraid this isn't a brookie, just a colorful little rainbow.

That's a rainbow. Brook trout have yellow spots and white leading edges on their fins.
