Our fall walleye bite is on! Still time to get a great trip in before the weather turns! Fished Wednesday and boated 8 to 25". The fish are hanging on breaks and the water seems to have cooled enough that they won't chase a crankbait so it's back to a spinner and worm bite. Saturday we had a great combo trip with 31 ducks in the morning and 8 walleye to 24" in the afternoon. Caught fish to 28" on Monday after searching a bit for some that would bite. The bite turns on like a lightswitch this time of year. The trout fishing is as good as I have seen in ten years, caught a 5 and 6 lb'er while walleye fishing.
