12/8/2011 5:50:00 PMUsually I stay above Carlin Bay in winter, there's a shelf mid lake from Carlin bay extending to Loffs Bay, depths there will range from 120-160ft. If you stay in 120-130ft and fish close to the bottom, within 30ft you can't go wrong. Outside of Neachen Bay and in front of Tubbs Hill in the same depths will show a lot of fish. Fishing either a flasher and mini squid or a helmet and herring will produce, I've had better luck and larger fish hitting the helmet herring(greenglow) with no flasher. Trolling speed ranging from 1.8-2.1mph but 1.9mph seems Ideal for my setup.
