Headed out to the lake around noon, got there just before the rush. Weather was bad rain, wind and marble size hale but the fishing was great. Hit some huge rainbows and a really nice brown, this is the second time this week I've had luck out here. There was a few groups out next to me with little to no luck but LOTS on little kids it was nice to see the new comers out fishing it was even nicer showing them what I was using and how I caught my fish.. But similar to last time I was just shore fishing with 18in if leader 4lb test on my 5ft ultra light. Fish were great fun and will be out again real soon i'm guessing.

nice haul! i caught a rainbow that looked a little like your top two pictures last year, and called the local fish & game office to ask if they were OK to eat since they looked a little banged up (fins, tails and noses all roughed up). they said they were retired breeding stock that were raised in pens. since they live in such close quarters they nip at each other and bang the walls. plump and great eating though, since they were pellet-fed.
