No fish yet again for this lake this year, and by the sound of it, that was the norm. I fished deep, also using Colorado spinners and a small ball of chartreuse Power Bait, but not a bite.
After a while I switched over trying for crappie, with a worm and bobber, and though something boiled the water 2-3 times around my bobber and took my worm down 2-3 times, he wouldn't be hooked. This action alone made it an interesting day. I will look for him in the future.
The weather couldn't be beat and made the time on the water a good way to spend the day. It was also a test of my new inflatable setup, with home made wood flooring and seats. Still some tweaking to do yet!
