4/24/2012 8:22:00 PMJust wondering if you can fish the fishing bridge this time of year? Looking to go camp this weekend at riffe and catch some fish. I have never fished this lake and wondering where to stay and fish. Any info would be great thanks - BigJon.

4/24/2012 10:23:00 PMI was at Riffe Lake fishing last Sunday, at the dam. The water level was pretty low. I would guess it might be quite a distance from the fishing bridge down to the water. You can also fish off the bank at the fishing bridge, if you don't mind climbing down some. Taidnapam Park is nice, we have stayed there.
I would stay at Ike Kinswa State Park myself. It's not far to drive to the dam. The park is nice there also. You are on Mayfield Lake which should be open Saturday, I believe, for the low lake season opener. Gives you another option to try for some trout.
FYI, There is a $5.00 charge per car load to fish at the fishing bridge, on the weekends and holidays, if you are not staying at the park.
