Fished Newman for a couple of hours Saturday afternoon. The water looks like mud, which is reasonable when you consider that the carp stir up everything that the jet skis don't. The public launch was so crowded that launching a boat is a joke. You had 12" waves over most of the lake even though the wind was not blowing.
Did catch a couple of small large mouth bass. Talked to a guy in a float tube and he told me that he caught 5 small bass the night before.
In my opinion, this lake is not fishable until the water is too cold for the jet skis and ski bums.
