Hey, went down to deep lake and didn't bring the boat so I fished off the dock. The dock is not that big long but not to wide. This time of the year is pretty good for the gills but I didn't see a lot of big one's. I used Berkley bass worms 4". all I did was cut the curly tail off and cut the worn in to 1/4 inch pieces and used a small hook size 8 Gamakatsu with a bobber with the bait about 2-2 1/2 feet below the bobber. Got a lot of bites with this combo. Oh, the color of the bait was watermelon with red flake. every time I through it out I got a bite with in a minute. You can fish on both sides of the dock but I fished towards the ramp side. The other side has a lot of salad and is only a few feet deep the boat side is probably 10' foot but I'm not to good with depth yet. The side with all the salad is were most of them were bedding but all the big ones were on the other side about 25 feet out. Have fun
