Fished Moses Lake this weekend. Started off Saturday evening just before sunset North of Cascade Marina. Started bouncing blue, silver, orange squid 'Walleye killers' with threaded worms, and a green Walleye pop threaded with a worm in 11-15ft of water. The bite was slow, but just before the sun went over the horizon, fish-on! In 11 ft of water, with the blue squid, I reeled in a nice 19" Walleye. We ended up with one Fish for the Saturday night ride! Sunday morning we woke expecting to catch fish, but the morning stroll didn't bring anything to our deck. Sunday night we hit the lake ready to catch! Just before sunset we pulled in 3 beautiful 16-19" Walleye in 11 ft of water north of Cascade Marina. With 3 fish in the live-well, and dark upon us, we started heading back to the house. In 11 ft of water on the blue squid, I landed a 22" healthy Walleye! Once again we nailed a great fish in the dark right out front of the dock. Monday the winds were kicking hard, so I 'attempted' to kite-board for a while. After surviving that outing, we decided to go check out some areas down by I-90. With no luck after a couple hours on that side of the lake, and almost late for dinner, we dropped the big motor, and flew back across the lake. We decided to take one last pass after seeing some friends on the water up toward the house. I started dropping my line to the bottom, and within 10 seconds, bang! Fish-on! In 11 ft of water, on the blue squid 'Walleye killer', i reeled in a nice 16.5" Walleye bringing the weekend total to 6 Moses Lake Walleye. We had to work a little harder this weekend to catch fish, but all in all it was a great weekend on the water. Thanks for reading. Good luck on the water. Tight lines. JN

JN- Thanks for the great report on Moses! I've been following your postings and it appears you've been doing quite well; congrats! I'm curious to know what walleye rig you're referring too as a "blue squid walleye killer". Is that the Mack's lure "cha cha" ? I've tried googling that name and nothing comes up. I've used the Macks Lure "Walleye Pop" and they've produced well, but I've done much better on moses with the slow death (red) hook with a smiley blade and threaded worm. I bet you saw me and my son out on the lake in a green/tan 04' Lund Pro V- 18 ft. We fished the Cascade Arm,...along the high bank of houses. Did quit well. My handle on this site is Hackin_Bruty. Thanks!

Thanks Rocky, and Rosann G. Hope you guys are filling your freezers!

Hackin_Bruty- You're right. It's basically a cha cha 2" squidder, but home-made with some fancy beads, and smiley-blades. Thanks for writing a report also. I actually tried your slow death with a smiley-blade/threaded worm rig last weekend. That slow death set-up is still out there in about 15 ft of water by I-90. That hook dug into something nice, I had to cut line. I plan to keep one of those slow death's behind the boat this next week since you've be doing so well on it. Good to hear that you guys are landing some nice fish, and having a good time out there. It's been pretty nice on the water lately, not too many boats fishing considerIng the time of year. JN
