Fished Deer Lake Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4, & decided before I went that I was only going to fish top waters as a sort of experiment. Only ended up landing (3), all LMB. Was using a few different lures Skitter Pop, River2Sea Frog but caught all 3 on a Zara Spook in Clown color. Did have a good blow up on the frog, but it startled me so bad I didn't wait long enough before I set the hook & ended up pulling it out of his mouth. Didn't catch any big ones, all were between 2 1/2 & 3 1/2. Only took 1 picture with the camera, have another pic on my phone of one a bit bigger than pictured below. gotta figure out how to get pics from my phone on to my MAC. Nice job bill! I remember you mentioning that Zara Spook. I've been kinda testing some crank baits out myself the past couple of times out, early fathers day gifts, probably why my numbers aren't up there either, always willing to try new products too. Then I always go back to the good old faithful plastics. We're going camping out at Clear for 4 days starting this Friday and may give Silver a try on Monday. I've got all next week off so I may give you a call for maybe a next Thursday or Friday trip if your in town.
